One of my favorite memories is Aunt Nell and Alan dancing at my wedding. He pushed her around in the wheel chair and she was so happy. <3

Aunt Nell would come stay with us in the Summer also and she would always go to church with me. One morning we were taking communion and I looked at her and said "Aunt Nell you can't take communion because you don't belong to this church but you can hold my gum!" She held out her one and only hand as I took the gum out of my mouth and placed it there! She never said a word as she put the chewed gum in a napkin and took communion anyway!!

I will always remember growing up as a child when Aunt Nell would come stay with us during the summer. We would be canning peas, beans, corn, and tomatoes sitting outside under the shade trees singing hymns. I loved the family get togethers with Aunt Nell playing the piano and everyone singing. My funny for Aunt Nell is the summer she came to stay with us and Mike and I came back from getting our haircut in the usual crew cut for the summer and Aunt Nell looked at us and exclaimed, "well Anniree they're bald".Dwayne IkerdOak Grove, LA
