Funeral services for Bobby Ray Long, 68 of West Monroe are 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2011 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Reverend Ron Lowe is officiating. Interment follows at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Bobby was born April 11, 1943 in Ruston, LA and passed away August 8, 2011 in West Monroe, LA. He was a retired cable repairman for BellSouth. Mr. Long was also a US Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey Sr. and Gertrude Long; and a brother Aubrey Long. Bobby is survived by his wife Maria Long; a brother Gene Long and wife Gloria; daughters Sheri Fenton, Shandy Grisham and husband Joey, and Janice Guice; sons Steven Long and wife Linda, Dean Harvill and wife Lori, Dewayne Harvill and wife Becky, and Chris Doyle; granddaughters Payton Del Rio, Samantha Guice, and Christy Harvill; grandsons Heath Budwah, Jacob Long, Justin Long, Luke Del Rio, Landon Fenton, Seth Harvill, Bobby Harvill, Jeremy Harvill, and Bennett Tripp; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Jacob Long, Justin Long, Seth Harvill, Heath Budwah, Bobby Harvill, and Jeremy Harvill. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Doyle, James Collins, Bryan Heisler, Ken Johnson, and Bennett Tripp. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
