Funeral services for Debbie Greer Wheat will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Peniel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Lapine Assembly of God Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Visitation will be from Noon until time of service, 2:00 P.M. on Saturday. Debbie was born on November 17, 1959 in Monroe, LA and passed away on January 5, 2017 in Monroe, LA. She was a manager for Standard Enterprises and preceded in death by her father, Elmer Greer.Debbie is survived by her husband, Walter Bo Wheat; mother, Joyce Greer; brother, Gary Greer and wife Monica; sister, Rhonda Greer Johnston and husband Terry; nieces and nephew, Tara Johnston Mahaffey, Shelley Johnston Hendrix, Timothy Johnston, April Greer Mills, Ashley Greer Meadows; eleven great nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Sierra.Pallbearers will be Jamie Swillie, Gary Greer, Terry Johnston, Tim Johnston, Shawn Mills, Chad Hendrix, Jon Meadows, and James Cupit.In lieu of flowers, a love offering may be made to the family to help offset final expenses.
