A more genuine a loving child of God I've yet to meet... an example for us all. In God's time, kairos, we'll meet back up at that glorious and promised "next place"... Meanwhile she'll be heartily missed. My prayers with you all

Marlon, Zonia & Kerri, What a blessing your parents were to us while we ministered together in Northern Virginia. Our 'family times' with you folks was a great encouragement. More than great Servants in God's Kingdom, their parenting skills have been witnessed by many. We were so glad to be with you and once again experience the hospitality of Etta Mae, renew old memories, and make some new ones, during our visit last fall. We'll keep in touch. Blessings & Prayers, Gene & Marsha Frame, Ohio

To Etta Mae's beloved family. I was blessed to have served the Lord with her and your dad, Brother Mitchell, and saw all of you as small children being brought up to serve the Lord as well. I told my husband last night that Etta Mae was one of the most humble women I knew. He felt he knew her due to my shared memories throughout the years. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Please find comfort in knowing we will see her again. May God bless you all during this time.

I know this will be a difficult season for each of you but know that God will be with you. Your mom was such an encouragement to me as she showed love and concern for others but particularly for His church. When Rick's dad died unexpectedly your mom came to the house. After she hugged everybody, she proceeded to clean the bathtub. Always looking for ways to show love practically. What a great legacy she has left in her children who love the God she served so well.

What a hostess she was! Hospitality is a gift in the church our generation has not picked up very well. It's one of the things the older women were responsible for teaching the younger. Your mom was a fantastic "older woman" in the church! I will always be thankful for her leadership and teaching in being a woman with a quiet and gentle spirit.

..Zonia, Marlon, and Keri Mitchell - there are lots of children whose lives Etta Mae touched who rise up and call her blessed. Your mom and dad touched my life in remarkable ways when I was a newlywed in the early 70's and a new Christian. They taught the true meaning of living a life of service to Christ in all that they did. Your mom was a beautiful and precious person who cared about everyone she met. I loved her immensely - and also your dad. How gratifying to know that they are reunited in the Kingdom of our Lord - and we shall one day see them - and see Jesus, because of their wonderful example!

Wilma and I want to extend our sincerest sympathy to the Mitchell family in the loss of their mother. I first met Etta Mae when we worked on the state board of Missions and Evangelism together. She was a delight to work with. The beauty and wonder of our Christian faith tells us that we will see our loved ones again! Separation is painful, but our hope through Jesus Christ will sustain us until that day of reunion! May the Lord uphold you during this difficult time. We send our love!
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
