Debra, Jan, and George,I have such incredible memories of your mom. . . . especially the one where she found Mike Sager hiding in my closet. ;) Seriously though, being at your house was always great because she was funny and fun loving. She was so tolerant of our childish games and yet always encouraged me to follow my dreams as I began to grow up. I've always admired her dedication to nursing. She assisted in saving many lives during her lifetime. I'm sure that she was met at the gates of heaven with "Well done, my good and faithful servant." I know you will miss her so much but she will live on in your hearts and the hearts of those who loved her. Best wishes to all of you and your families.

Ms.Beaver was so much fun to work with. I have very fond memories of her, even when she was volunteering. I will miss her and her sense of humor.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The purpose of life is not to be happy .... it's to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Joy accomplished all in one lifetime! She was special, in deed! May you find comfort for her loss in family, friends, and her legacy of strength, spirit, and happiness that continues ...

May these words of sympathy help comfort you somehow and let you know that others share the loss you're feeling now. In 2000, I met Joy when I became a volunteer at St. Francis Medical Center in the Surgery Waiting Room. She had a sweet, sweet spirit and it was a joy to be around her.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Mrs. Beaver scared me to death as a scrub tech student, but became my favorite circulating nurse when I work in surgery at St. Francis. She truly lived up to her name!! Please know that I'm praying for you during this time.

I am sorry to hear of Miss Beaver's passing. When I came to work at St Francis she had already retired but the Surgery Department was never long without a story of Miss Beaver and her mischief and sense of humor. She was indeed a unique personality. I met her on several occasions and enjoyed knowing her through a few common friends from the hospital. Her memory will live on in the operating rooms at St Francis, that's for sure.
