Funeral services for Maria Lidia Gallardo de Fava will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St. Paschal Catholic Church. Father Frank Coen will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paschal Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Our deeply loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away on August 29, 2016. She was born in Mendoza, Argentina on August 22, 1925 to Eliseo Coronel and Maria Militona Rosa Gallardo. After leaving the nun school she met and married the love of her life Jose Federico Fava and had four children. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and most of all cooking. She loved gardening, flowers and plants as well as nature and her pets. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose Federico Fava, and one son Osvaldo Oscar Fava, her parents, a sister and several brothers.Maria is survived by her oldest daughter, Lily Fava Mann, (Rex); a son, Raul Hugo Fava (Maria) and a daughter in Argentina, Nancy Mabel Fava-Giunta (Alberto); nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff, administration and nurses of Land Mark Nursing Home for their loving care, kind and professional service; also to Glenwood Hospital for the sympathetic care at a time of such great loss.Pallbearers will be Scott King, Tony Shirah, Lorenzo Aguirre, Thomas Ivey, Lorenzo Moss, John Neel. Honorary pallbearers will be Rex Mann, Robert Sills, Larry Sills, Mike Sills and Grant Mann.Donations may be made to St. Paschal Hispanic Ministry or St. Jude Children Hospital.Visitation will held Friday September 2, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rosary Prayer at 6:00 PM, officiated by Father Rigoberto Betancurt.
