Funeral services for Pat Oxford Smith will be held on Tuesday, October 9th at 11:00am at the Presbyterian Church of Ruston with Pastor Edith Hill officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at 10:00am in the Fellowship Hall prior to the service.

Pat Oxford Smith was born in Ruston, LA on July 10, 1946 to H.A. Oxford and Cornelia Fallin Oxford.  She died on October 4, 2018 at her home in Ruston.  Pat was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church of Ruston where she lovingly prepared meals for Sunday Night Youth Group and Vacation Bible School when her children were young, and in recent years created a Frozen Food Pantry at the Church and helped with the restoration of the Church Parlor.  She was a charter member of the S & B Quilters, now known as Wednesday Stitch Group.  Pat was also a proud member of the Ruston High School Class of 1964.  She loved organizing their class reunions and enjoyed any opportunity to get together with her beloved Class of ’64 group whenever possible.  In the past several years, she has served on the RHS Alumni Association Board.

Pat Oxford Smith is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Tommy Smith…her beloved children, Laura Ann Smith, Trey Smith and his wife Adrianne; and her precious grandchildren, Thomas, Hilton, and Camille.  More than anything, Pat loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother.  Pitty Pat was a true Southern Belle who believed in devotion to family and friends.  To know her, was to love her…

Pallbearers will be grandsons Thomas Smith, Hilton Smith, John Robken, nephew Tony Oxford, Tommy Phillips, Bill Baldwin, Mickey Mays, and Joe Moser.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Rainer and Billy Rockhold.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any planned memorials be made to the Presbyterian Church of Ruston or charity of choice.
