Shirley Lancaster left a message on December 4, 2020:
I am a former student of Haynesville High School. As I was in the midst of my personal bible study, memories of Mr. Suggs came to mind. After contacting other classmates, I was informed by Mary Tims that he’d passed and she took it upon herself to forwarded me his burial information. I, among others, was blessed to have him as a geography teacher. I was a a little bit of a comedic student, so he’d punish me with a smile by assigning chapters for me to write verbatim. That punishment actually strengthened and enforced me to memorize the material which aided me on tests. He was one of the best teachers that I had. His genuine love for his students was heartfelt. I pray that his family will continue his amazing legacy for future generations to come. I am praying for you now. Love you all in Jesus’s mighty name, Shirley Jackson Kendrick Lancaster

Virginia, I am so sorry for your loss. I have prayed for you and Ronnie both throughout his illness. I know how hard it is to watch your best friend and love go through cancer. I will continue to pray for you to find peace and comfort from our Lord Jesus Christ who holds Ronnie in his arms as I write this and who will be with him waiting on you to join him when it is your turn. God bless you and your family.

My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of Ronnie.May you find comfort in your loving memories and the warmth of family and friends. A scripture that has uplifted me during times such as this is found at Revelation 21:4. There it describes a time when death and pain will be gone forever after God restores his original purpose for the earth. We will even see our loved ones again who we have lost in death (John 5:28 & 29). It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time as well. Once again, please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss.
