Funeral services for Royce West, 72, of Columbia, LA will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 15, 2014 at New Light Baptist Church in Monroe with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at New Light Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.Mr. West was born on March 24, 1942 in Anadarko, OK and passed away on November 13, 2014 in Little Rock, AR. He was a manager for Solar Supply and a member of New Light Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donnie West; grandson, Zeke West; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Lawson West; sons, Bubba West and wife, Melissa, Gary West, and Tracy West; daughter, Paula West Willis and husband, Dewayne; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Lavonna West Brooks and husband, Tommy; and a number of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be, Nathan West, Jarod West, Trey West, Matthew Willis, James McClain, and Mike Franklin.Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the time of service at 2:00 PM at New Light Baptist Church.The family request memorial contributions be made to the New Light Baptist Church.

Barbara and Family, What a great tribute was paid to Royce yesterday. It was so obvious how much he was loved by the kind words and the many people that attended his funeral. We were blessed by just being there. I know the days and weeks to come will be sad and often time very difficult but just know that he is well again and rejoicing with the Lord and his many friends and loved ones. It is said that when a loved one becomes a memory that the memory becomes a treasure. We have found this to be so very true - so treasure each and every one of your memories, as I know you will.
