Heartfelt condolences to all the family. May the peace of God be your comfort and strength. Many warm memories spent with the Rainbolt family... weekends at Toledo Bend, cruises down the interstate just to talk on the CB radio...and more. With love, jb.

Ruby, we're so sorry for your loss. Russell was always someone looked up to by all us Rayville folks for his intelligent good sense and athletic abilities. Joe really enjoyed the fishing outings with him, even though Joe felt like a jinx to catching very many fish. Betty & Joe

My husband was a teammate of Russell's at La. Tech and most likely played against him in Delhi vs Rayville games. Good memories. Those were football years for La. Tech! So sorry for your loss, Ruby.

I have such great memories of Coach Rainbolt, Mr.Raninbolt, and a neighbor, Russell.. I first remember him coaching basketball at RHS in the 60's. I was a student at DHS and friends with the Rayville kids... The guys all loved to play for Coach and had the highest respect for him. Then, I was blessed to have him as a teacher at then Northeast Louisiana State College..... and later to live in Lakewood Estates just down the street. My husband knew the boys from OPHS and we valued the friendship of the Ranbolt family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. He was a fine man..always a gentleman.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
