Funeral services for William Bill Ezell, 81 of Downsville, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Aulds Chapel Bible Church. Interment will follow at Aulds Chapel Bible Church Cemetery, Downsville, LA. Bro. Mike Reynolds will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Mr. Ezell was born October 21, 1934 in Lake Providence, LA and passed away September 28, 2016 in Downsville, LA. He was owner of Ezell Steel Erectors and Ezell Poultry Farm. Mr. Ezell was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years on September 6, 2016 Merle Simmons Ezell. He served in the Marine Corp and received the China Service Medal while serving in the Korean Wartime and served as an MP on the USS Bennington. He also was a member of Aulds Chapel Bible Church where he served as a deacon.Mr. Ezell is survived by sons Ray Ezell and wife Karen, Keith Ezell and wife Leslie, Paul Ezell and wife Tonya; brother, James Ezell; sister, Lillian Lang; granddaughters; Christy Ezell, Kelly Ezell and Kaitlyn Ezell; grandsons, Daniel Ezell and wife Whitney, Dennis Ezell, Seth Ezell; great-grandsons; Jackson Richard and Hudson Pace. Pallbearers will be Tommy Smith, Curt Meachum, James Futch, Eddie Jordan, Phillip Simmons and James Tedeton.
