Funeral services for Mr. Worth Atlantic Walters, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Gardens in Winnsboro, LA. Rev. Bob Holloway and Dan Darnell will be officiating.Mr. Walters was born June 2, 1927 in Baskin, LA and died October 11, 2015 in Monroe. Mr. Walters served in the U.S. Marines during World War II in Nagasaki, Japan, and retired from Olin Kraft as a machine operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Worth and Ethel Nixon Walters; son, Robert Charles Walters; brother, Twyman “Kitten” Walters.Mr. Walters is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Maxine Walters; son, Lanny Ray Walters and wife Lois; daughter-in-law, Karen Walters; sisters, Kouzea “Dee” Bryan and Katrina “Tumpie” Wicker and husband Ben; brother, Ray Nixon and wife Rebecca Nixon; sister-in-law, Mildred Walters; 8 grandchildren: Kristi Gilliam, Selena Jameson, Alaina Walters, Will Walters, Terry Walters, Jessica Nash, Jennifer Walters, and Hanna Walters; 13 great grandchildren.
