Funeral services for Alma Jean Gorham Thompson will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Ouachita Baptist Church. Dr. Mike Holloway will officiate. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens.Mrs. Thompson was born August 5, 1933 in Winnfield, LA and passed away on September 21, 2017 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of Ouachita Baptist Church and was a former Grand Regent for the West Monroe Moose Lodge. Mrs. Thompson loved her babies (25 grands, 34 great grands, 5 great-great grands) and playing Bingo. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Thompson; son, Tony Thompson; and great grandson, Kody Jace Osborn.Mrs. Thompson is survived by her eight children, Jeannie Osborn and husband Sonny, Roger Thompson and wife Sandi, Larry Thompson and wife Myrrah, Lester Thompson and wife Kim, Becky Hollis and husband Jackie, Sara Thompson, Lewis Thompson and wife Angie, Lisa Speller and husband Jeff; sister, Dorothy Johnson of Winnfield, LA; brother, Donald Gorham and wife Beverly of Winnfield, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and cousins.Pallbearers will be Byron Wiggins, Larry Thompson, Jr., Bubba Waggoner, Justin Hollis, Jake Hollis, and Shawn Michael McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be Derreck Thompson, Michael Thompson, Tyler Faulk, and Josh Wiggins.Visitation will be from Noon until the time of service (2:00 P.M.), September 23, 2017 at Ouachita Baptist Church.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
