Graveside services for Anna Sue Moody, 79, will be held at 2:00, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, Louisiana, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe.  Bro. Tim Ervin will officiate.

Anna Sue Moody was born on September 29, 1945 in Monroe and passed away on March 10, 2025 at her home in Slidell, surrounded by family.  She enjoyed working outdoors and had a love of hummingbirds and flowers.  Anna was preceded in death by her son, Sidney Patton; parents, Howard and Mary Jane Spillers; and brothers, Howard Spillers, Harold Spillers, Elbert Spillers and Jeff Spillers.

Anna is survived by her husband, James P. Moody; children, Louie Patton and wife Cora, Sean P. Moody and DeeAnna Gaubert; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Ervin and Mary Ann Lenard; along with other cherished family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Sasser, Marcus Lenard, Clay Blackstock, Tyler Patton, Austin Moody and Jamie Spillers.

Mom, I know you’re pain-free; that’s all I ever wanted. I wish I could have someway helped with that while you were here. We did our best. You’re my mom first and my best friend second. My world is going to look a lot different without you in it. I don’t know how I will do it, but I’ll do anything for you. I know you would like to make sure I take care of Dad. I’m not you by any means. I wish I had your strength. You taught me to be loving and judgment-free toward others, and I have definitely learned that from you. I promise to help take care of Dad.
