I sure was sad to hear that Lloyd had passed away. He and I were really close friends for many years during our younger days. We went to church together, played football throughout our school careers and ran the streets of Joaquin, Logansport, and Center. After graduation we went our separate ways but i always remembered the good times that we had back then. Although I do not know all of his late family members, my prayers and condolences are with you all. I will miss him.

Dear Dana and Lindsey, I still cannot believe Lloyd is gone and I am so very sorry for your loss. I am also sorry for my loss --- Lloyd was my oldest friend. We started the first grade together at Logansport; we went to Sunday School together and were baptized together. We began playing pee wee football together in the fifth grade. We hauled hay together in summers. By high school Lloyd was an outstanding running back. He was big, fast, strong and tough as a boot. I always admired his mental toughness as well as his physical toughness. Lloyd was also an American Patriot. He felt a duty to his country and served honorably on a munitions ship just off the coast of Viet Nam. This was an extremely dangerous job. Dana, as you know, we have spent untold hours on the phone for the last fifteen years usually talking every week or two. You and Cindy both wondered how we could talk so long. We talked about every thing from football to cars to politics with always a healthy dose of nostalgia about growing up in Logansport/Joaquin. The reason we could talk so long was that we had the same interests, we always agreed on everything and we were really, good pals. Lloyd Beckham was a good boy, a good man, and a good Christian. I will miss my good friend greatly.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
