Mr. Bobby Reppond Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville, LA. Funeral services for Bobby Clifton Reppond, age 81, of Linville, La., will be held 10 am, Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Liberty Baptist Church of Linville with Bro. Roger Johnson and Bro. Paul King officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 pm Friday at the church under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Bobby Reppond, was born June 23, 1931, and returned to his Heavenly Father on June 27, 2012. A devoted provider for his family, Bobby was a former employee of Thermatomic Carbon Plant at Sterlington, Southern Natural Gas Company at Perryville and took early retirement in 1986 from IMC at Sterlington. In retirement he enjoyed time with family, raising cattle, traveling in his RV and especially hunting large game near home and in Colorado. Bobby was ordained as deacon of Liberty Baptist Church on November 24, 1963, and faithfully served the church thru the years as an active deacon, choir member, Sunday School teacher and more. He was an integral part of the construction of the church family life center and President of the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. An involved member of the community, he served as president of the Linville-Haile Water System for 25 years, was President & founding member of the Linville Hunting Club, former president of the Dean Hunting Club, and a leader in PTO at Linville High School & East Union Academy. He was also known for his service to others, always there to lend a hand, aid a friend and faithfully care for his parents and siblings in their later years. All that knew him will miss his warm smile, gentle heart and hard-working hands. He is preceded in death by his parents John Perry & Katie McKinnie Reppond; 3 brothers: Nelson, Dewey & Gulley Reppond; and 2 sisters: Christine Kelly & Betty Drennan. Left to celebrate his life are his wife of 62 years, Barbara Gilmore Reppond; 3 daughters and their spouses: Vicki & Mike Green, Linda & Stan Kennedy, and Glenda & Pete Reynolds; 2 sisters: Fannie Oliver and Nelda Smothers; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandson, Shawn Green, grandsons-in-law, Michael Perritt, Glenn Miers, Justin Turner, Greg Green, and Matt McPherson.
