I am deeply saddened to learn that Bruce has passed away. I was his debate partner in high school and a pen pal over the last few years. I loved his stories about life in Oklahoma, being a single parent and he was so devoted, worried about Logan every waking minute, coping with old age, and just getting old. Damn, I'll miss him. Already do. Friends like Bruce are so rare, one in a million.
I am Mac McAllester. I lived next door to Bruce, when he was working at Wrightsville. He and I were good friends and had just lost contact for awhile. I had spoke to him about 2 years ago. I knew where he was, but never got around to going to see him. I'm sorry you didn't receive this sooner, but another friend of ours just told me about this yesterday. Again I offer my condolences. Bruce and I use to straighten out a lot of the worlds problems on my front porch drinking a cool one after work. We had a lot of good times together. He will be missed. Rick Mac McAllester
Bruce married my mother when I was 6 and bruce raised me until I was 17. He was a good dad and I hate it that he is gone.I loved him very much. He had a kind heart.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
Being around Bruce usually meant a good laugh. He always took the opposite opinion or view on just about every subject. Always could make me laugh. I will miss him
Dear Hart Family; I am very sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. I only heard about it over the weekend. I remember when your family moved down the street from us in El Dorado, we quickly became good friends. After we moved away from El Dorado we kept in touch for a few years then lost touch being busy raising a family and building a career. We reconnected a few years ago on facebook. I will always have great memories of the laughter and good times we shared growing up though high school. Bruce was a good man and I wish we could have gotten together again. You are all in my constant thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. May God bless you and keep you in his loving arms. Sincerely Steve Dunlap
I first met Bruce in 1982, when he moved to Fort Smith as a Parole Supervisor. He became my boss and friend. Through the years we shared many good times, both on the job and after hours. He was a good and kind man. I was shocked to see his obituary and am sorry I didn't find out until now. We talked on the phone just a week or two before his passing and got together a couple times a year. He always spoke of his daughter Logan, who he loved greatly. I will miss my friend.
Such a gentleman Bruce was even as we navigated our way through the teen years. Regretfully we only recently reconnected. It is with great sadness that I note his passing and wish much comfort to his family. He will be missed very much.
I read with shock and extreme sadness of the passing of Bruce. We recently moved to Oklahoma, and through the Facebook high school connection, Bruce had offered us much help and suggestions. I cannot describe adequately how extremely kind, warm and caring he was, in communications about life in rural OK, the love of animals, spiritual questions, offers of help and the sharing of important contacts. He just went beyond the norm in his warmth and generosity. His love of his daughter was evident. I know there are many who will miss him. How I wish we could have taken him up on his offer to visit at the lake! God bless you Bruce and your family, especially Logan and his parents.
To Bruce's family: I'm truly saddened to learn that Bruce passed away. Imagine my shock when I went on Kilpatrick's website to view my cousin's Nellie Clowersobituary and saw Bruce's picture right below hers. I'm orignially from West Monroe & have many relatives still in the area. I work at the Parole Office in El Dorado. Back in the day, Bruce was our Parole Administrator. The first time he visited our office, I told him he really looked familiar. Much to our surprise, we discovered that we went to high school together here in El Dorado. May God keep each of you in His Grace during this most difficult time. My prayers are with you.
Bruce was our neighbor and will be missed in the neighborhood. We were able to take him to the ambulence when he had his last heart attack. Our desire would have been to help him last Wed., but all our phones were out. We shared a love for the TenKiller Lake with Bruce and had many conversations about boating and fishing. He will be missed. Our prayers go out to his family and especially for Logan. We have watched her grow into a beautiful young woman who will miss her Dad. To Bruces's parents, he talked about you a lot. I know he was concerned for you and wanted to help you if he could.
We are deeply saddened by the sudden departure of our good friend Bruce. We came to love him deeply. His memory can never be dimmed, for it will forever be in our hearts. He was kind and gentle and a wonderful neighbor. He loved his precious daughter Logan. There are not words to express how greatly he will be missed, He gave much of his life protecting and serving his country. It will be a glorious day when we see Bruce and other loved ones with our Savior in Heaven for an eternity. May God bless you Logan, Glenda, and family Gary and Glenda
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
