Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.Brucewas born to Thomas Harvey Fuller and Rowena Hicks Fuller in Union Parish, Louisiana on August 14, 1931. He died in Monroe, Louisiana on March 20, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Calvin Fuller and Bobby Joe Fuller, and his first wife Frances Poston Fuller.He is survived by his wife Evelyn Thrower Fuller of Monroe; sons Larry Fuller and wife Gayle of Bryan, Texas and Tim Fuller and wife Ingrid of Pasadena, Texas; Grandchildren, Ben Fuller and wife Lisa of College Station, Texas, Tiffani Fuller of League City, Texas and one great-grandchild Bryce Fuller of College Station, Texas.Bruce is also survived by his extended step family. Children Wanda Thrower Ramsey and husband Randy, Bonnie Howell and husband Ronnie, John Thrower and wife Sherryl. Grandchildren Amy Lentz, James Ramsey and wife Molly, Todd Jordan and wife Rebecca, Sean Jordan, Jeremy Vining and wife Emily, and Brittany Kiedaisch and husband Kyle. Great- grandchildren Alex Lentz, Chancee Ramsey, Aubree Ramsey, Dakota Jordan, Trinity Vining, Raleigh Vining, and Kade Kiedaisch.Bruce and Frances moved to Texas in 1951 where he worked in the rebuilding of the petro-chemical complex in Texas City, Texas after the devastation of the massive explosion a few years earlier. In 1954 he went to work for Houston Lighting & Power Company as an Instrument and Control Technician attaining the position of General Supervisor before retiring after a 37 year career. He was also a master carpenter and worked weekends building houses with Larry and Tim as his crew.After Frances' death in 1994 he began spending more time in his original home of Union and Ouachita Parish where he ran across his childhood classmate Evelyn Walker. Bruce and Evelyn were married in 1996.Bruce was well known for his work ethic and attention to detail. Those that knew him will tell you of the quality of his work. He couldn't abide sloppy work and his sons can recall many times after reviewing their work he would say “Now take it apart and do it right.”He was quick to tease and joke with that slight grin and twinkle in his eye.
