Funeral services for Bruce Ward McGee, 55, of Dubach, will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Vienna, LA. Rev. Bill Reid and Bro. Jerry Whitman will officiate. Interment will follow at Henry Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, September 4 at the church.Bruce was born on November 11, 1962 in Bernice, LA and passed away on September 2, 2018 in Ruston.He was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church. Bruce loved God, his family and serving his community. Employed by the Lincoln Parish Police Jury, Bruce also was co-commander of the Lincoln Parish Sheriff Department Reserve Unit where he served for 25 years. Hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family were second only to his love of God. Bruce will be greatly missed.Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Printis and Estelle McGee; sisters, Pam McGee and Hazel Peterson; and brother, Printis McGee.Left to cherish his memory are his brother, John McGee and wife Brenda of Hilly; and nieces and nephews: Jami Newhouse and husband, Mikey of Arlington, TX, Cara Snell and husband Ryan of Houston, TX, Jessica McGee of Hilly, Lucas McGee of Dubach, Matthew Mitchell of Ruston, and Amanda Mitchell of Dallas, TX; and brother-in-law, Tim Lehman of Dayton, TX.Pallbearers honoring Bruce will be Lucas McGee, Ryan Snell, Tim Lehman, Ricky Chamess, Leonard Walker, and Mike Sanderson.
