Joann was born July 2, 1941 in Oak Grove, LA and passed away January 10, 2018 in Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and MaryLou Coats; husbands, John H. Guice and James “Jimmy” Johnston; daughter, Tonia Guice Masters; sisters, Jeanette McGrew, Lucille Russell, Dorothy Self and Wanda Carroll. Joann was a member of Rayville United Pentecostal Church, Rayville, LA.
Joann is survived by daughters, Donna Guice McMillan and husband Lamar of Colorado Springs, CO; Pamela R. Guice, Eros, LA, Colinda Guice Glad and husband Dan of Pineville, LA; grandchildren; Heather, Donavan, Ryan, Leanne, Greg, Stefanie, Amber, Erika, Melissa, Staci and Rae Ann; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Vergie Roberson and husband Jerry of Arcadia, LA, Richard Coats and wife Caroline of Stonewall, LA.
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Assocation.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
