Born July 20, 1955, Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Skains Rodgers left this earth to be in her Heavenly home with the Lord on September 24, 2022.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Farmerville, Louisiana with Bro. Kurt Auger, Bro. Lamar Guillot and Bro. Matt Coker officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Downsville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Farmerville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville.
Deborah Rodgers was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Eunice Watson Skains; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Minnie Ellington Rodgers; sister-in-law, Clydus Rodgers Jerry; brothers-in-law, Bobby Rodgers, Ted Rodgers, and Gene Jerry; and step-granddaughter, April Rodgers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Henry Rodgers of Farmerville; son, Mike Skains (Susie) of Farmerville; daughters, Ashley Rodgers and Katelyn Rodgers of Farmerville; step-daughters, Jeanine Kidd (Mike) of Monroe, Marcie Rodgers of Farmerville, and Terri Rodgers of Calhoun; grandchildren, Brendyn Rodgers, Alicia Skains and Avery Skains of Farmerville, and Aubree Skains Wright (Elijah) of Bossier City; step-grandchildren, Allyson Freeman of Texas, and Autumn Lynn of St. Charles, Illinois; great-grandchild, Izaiah Wright of Bossier City; step-great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Bracknell, Hayleigh Bracknell, Branson Simpson, Matthew Simpson, and Madelyn Simpson of Texas; brothers, Billy Skains (Mary) of Downsville, and Rex Skains of Farmerville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred Rodgers (Carol) of Farmerville, Jack and Brenda Rodgers of Choudrant, and Pat Rodgers of El Dorado, Arkansas; special aunt, Peggy Levassur (George) of West Monroe; special uncles, Dale Watson of West Monroe, and Herbert Pylant of Bernice; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers are Brendyn Rodgers, Avery Skains, Brandon Phillips, Dennis Jerry, Joey Rodgers, Lee Rodgers, David Smith, Paul Tucker, and Teddy Rodgers. Honorary pallbearers are Joy Sunday School Class, First Baptist Church Choir, Sharon Sistrunk, Joann Grafton and Esther Mullins.
