I handled numerous cases with Dennis over the years. I always enjoyed working with him. We fought over lawsuits but also enjoyed many laughs. He used to call me when he was in Shreveport to meet him at Superior for lunch. Dennis was a great story teller and a joy to be around. He was a great man who will be missed.

Me. Hennen was one of the most kind and caring attorneys with whom I ever had the privilege to work. His mother, Ms Louise, his wife and children are in our prayers.

A smile for every friend and a friend for every smile. A gentleman and a gentle man. He will be long remembered and sorely missed.
Robert McLeod left a message on August 17, 2019:
Dennis had fantastic people skills that I think evolved from his kind and thoughtful personality and spirit. Certainly he could and likely would disagree when in the handling of a case but I never saw or heard of him doing so in a disagreeable manner. Along with that spirit was a creative, innovative and brave person who was perfectly willing to sail into uncharted waters. Behind that great smile was a great mind always whirring away. He will be missed. Condolences to the entire family and may my friend RIP.

Dennis was a superb friend, mentor, leader, father, husband, advisor, caretaker and lawyer. He used his trade to create so much good. He was always looking to create opportunities for others (he certainly created a handful for me). He was a worthy adversary and always a pleasure to work with. In short, he was a Titan. The world was a brighter place with Dennis Hennen.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Dear Helen, Laura, and Tyler,I have known Dennis since his early days as a lawyer and had the honor and privilege of working with him over the years. His drive, direction, determination, and discipline were matched with a warmth and compassion that all could feel. Those of us who knew him are all better because of his friendship. I am so sorry for your loss.

He was my very first mentor post passing the Louisiana Bar. He was always a call away to answer my "young lawyer" questions and graciously treated my dad and I to a Saints football game. He will truly be missed, and I am forever grateful for his kindness and guidance. May he rest in peace.

Always happy and wearing a broad smile; always willing to lend a hand or offer an open and receptive ear; a friend’s friend. Our world is a better place because God shared Dennis with us.

I have known Dennis and his mother, dad and Mark for many years having lived near or in Sterlington for a long time growing up. He was a fine man, as well as a terrific son, and I’m sure a great husband and dad, and a great attorney as well. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. May God hold his family close and give them comfort during this time. RIP Dennis, you were well loved by many.

My condolences to the Hennen Family. Dennis was my childhood neighbor and a good one. He had an inside track on Santa because he was smart enough to ask for the good toys and I didn't. We always had good times and played a lot of one on one football in the back yard. The boy had moves like a running back.....lol.....We both went our separate ways later on but reunited when the plant blew up in Sterlington. He represented my family as well as half of Sterlington. Even then with all of this on his back, he kept his sense of humor as we reminisced about our young days when I met him at his office. Thank you and Rest In Peace My Friend
