Celebration of life for Diane Gray Downey Rector will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Swartz First Baptist Church. Bro Aaron Dickinson will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.Diane was born on May 30, 1938 and passed away on September 17, 2019 after a lengthy illness.She was a member of Swartz First Baptist Church and Sunday School. She was retired from Poly Processing of Monroe, LA. She loved to travel, was an avid bridge player, and a member of the NE LA Bridge Center. Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy W. Rector; parents, Carl and Catherine Downey.Survivors include her son, Dan Rector and wife Pat; sister, Susie Weisheit and husband Mike of Indiana; brother, Fletcher Downey and wife Kathleen of California; granddaughter, November Chadwick; step-grandchildren, Michael Williams, Casey Williams, Jennifer Grafton and Jason Williams; great-granddaughter, Adalyn Chadwick; step-great-grandchildren, Annie, Zoey, Seth, Peyton, Claire, Joe, Tanner, Lillie and Hayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.Flowers are appreciated but in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Swartz First Baptist Church Children & Youth Ministries.Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.comKilpatrick Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA
