Funeral services for Doris Kilcrease Harper, 74 will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 2, 2019 at Christ Church in West Monroe. Rev. Jeffrey Kent will officiate. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 1, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Christ Church in West Monroe.Doris was born in Bonita, LA to on September 18, 1944 and passed away on August 30, 2019 in West Monroe. She was a member of Christ Church and retired from Glenwood Hospital after 37 years of service as a nurse. Doris loved cooking, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren, her sister Arleen and brother, Malvin and all the other family members. She was preceded in death by her brothers R.C. Kilcrease, Donald Ray Kilcrease and Jimmy Kilcrease and a sister, Helen Kilcrease.Doris is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Harper; children, Steve Harper of Monroe and Lanell Harper Dean of Elm Grove, LA, 9 grandchildren: Tanner Matthew Harper, Stephanie Danielle Harper Dean, Brett Hunter Dean, Faith Nacole Dean, Dakota Chance Dean, Nicholas Chase Dean, Kimberly Hope Dean, Candice Noel Dean, and Ashten Slade Dean, Brother, Malvin Owen Porter and Sister, Arlene Parks.Pallbearers will be Tanner Harper, Wade Parker, Nick Dean, Dakota Dean, Hunter Dean, Ashten Dean.
