Dear Benson, King and Kari and Grandchildren,We were saddened to hear of your precious mother's death. If anyone could claim title as a "True Southern Belle" and a "Steele Magnolia" it was your wonderful Mom Dot. Her sweetness, graciousness, and fortitude throughout her life was a wonderful example to many. She was such a great friend and neighbor to us in our early married life as a neighbor on Menorah Drive. My grown children have sweet memories of her kindness from their youth. How we admired her Christian example and joy everytime we saw her. She was so gracious and happy at her 90TH Birthday party that Allison and I attended. May the Lord hold you all close and give you that "peace that passes all understanding" in the days ahead. She is "safe in the arms of Jesus."Hallelujah!!In deepest sympathy, Lee and Camille Adair

Dot was such a wonderful precious lady. I worked with her at Glenwood Aux. Her sweet smile was a joy, and it lit a room. I had the honor one year to give a talk to the aux. about Dot, had invited her pastor, and presented her with a purple hat, and told what an outstanding person she was. This is a true lady, is phrase that was made for Dot. Dr. Benson and Dr. King, you are in thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. Your mother was one in a millon

It seemed that whatever I was involved with during my youth into college and after, Mrs. Scott was there, encouraging and welcoming. She seemed to have the gift of making all of us feel so comfortable and beautiful. Her friendliness will always be something I remember and cherish. God bless all of you. Sending love.
