Funeral services for Ella Jean Dyke, 74, are 2:00PM on Monday, June 18th, 2012, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Beck Payne and Rev. Joshua Hutson officiating. Interment follows at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation is Sunday, June 17th, 2012, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Ella “Granny” Dyke was born November 17th, 1937, in Ouachita Parish to James and Bertha Dyke and passed away on June 15th, 2012 following a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker and dedicated genealogist, a lifelong Baptist and devoted follower of the Billy Graham Ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Bertha Mae Harris Dyke; son, David Wayne Hutson, sister, Claudean Hendrix; brothers, James Edward Dyke, Jack Jearl Dyke, and Jimmy V. Dyke. “Granny” is survived by a son, Mike Hutson and Lajuana Johnson; a daughter, Gale Corley and husband, Jim; and a son, Joey Hutson and wife, Robin; grandchildren, Jason Hutson and wife, Brigette, April Finley and husband, Randy, Jeannie Lewis and husband, Jeremy, Jessica Green and husband, Allan, Jodi Payne and husband, Beck, Joshua Hutson and wife, Rebekah, and Brandon Shaver; brothers Charlie Dyke and wife Violet, Andy P. Dyke and wife Kotch; 14 great grandchildren;brother-in-law, Huey Hutson and wife, Virginia; close friend, Margie Hutson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Family members are serving as pallbearers.
