Graveside Service for Elvies Lee Franklin, age 75, of Ruston, will be Friday, February 3, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Henry Cemetery in Dubach, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Tipton, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
Elvies Franklin was born on November 24, 1947, to Elvies Elmo and Mary Lorene Franklin, in Ruston, LA and passed from this life on January 27, 2023.
Elvies served his country in the US Navy, and later retired from Ball Corporation Glass Plant as an Operator.
Elvies Franklin is preceded in death by his parents, Elvies “Son” Elmo and Mary Lorene (Railey) Franklin, and his son, Gilbert Lee Franklin.
He is survived by his children, Sean Franklin and wife Andrea of San Antonio, TX., and Casey FraAnklin and wife Rachel Levine of Lynn, MA; grandchildren, Sean Gilbert Franklin, Connor William Franklin, and Fitz Alexander Levine-Franklin; brother, Donnie Gene Franklin of AMonroe, LA; and several nieces and nephews.
In leu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made, in Elvies Lee Franklin’s honor, to the following: Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Wounded Warrior Project, Robert Irvine Foundation and Fisher House Foundation.
