Funeral services for Eugene McVay,Jr. will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday May 13, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Rev Jerry Salisbury officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Eugene went home on the morning of May 10, 2022 at the age of 65. The oldest son of Eugene McVay, Sr. and Mae Gilmore, Eugene’s earliest years consisted of following in his father’s footsteps, becoming a well known painter. He had a love for coaching his son’s little league baseball team and watching him grow in the process. As the years went on, he was able to watch his grandsons play the same game. He enjoyed watching wrestling, fishing and loving on his fur babies. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene McVay, Sr.
Eugene is survived by his daughter Brandy McVay; son Eugene “Trey” McVay, III and wife LaChelle; grandchildren Landon McVay, Peyton McVay, Jacob and Josh; 4 brothers, 1 sister and a host of other family and friends.
