Fannie Mae Hutto Ates Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral services for Fannie Mae Hutto Ates, age 83, of Bernice, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Rev. Lamar Guillot. Interment will follow at Choudrant Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mrs. Ates was born September 3, 1928 and passed away April 11, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward Ates; sons: John Oliver, Steve Randall and James Calvin; one grandchild; three great grandchildren and fifteen siblings. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved sewing; quilting, watching Walker Texas Ranger, listening to music, putting puzzles together, puzzle books, shopping at Rolling Hills and spending time with her family and at family get together. Mrs. Ates is survived by her children: Charles Ates and wife Doris of Bernice, Carolyn Ates of Dubach, Dorothy Mercer and husband Tommy of Luna, special daughter-in- law; Alice Ates of Choudrant , Betty Sue Primm of Collinston, Edward Eugene Ates and wife Ann of Bernice, Edith Akin and special son Dennis of Bernice, Roy Edward Ates of Homer, Darlene Smith and husband Mike of Monroe, Wayne Ates and wife Leisa of Bernice, Charlene Cummings of Luna and Linda Dodge and husband Jeffrey of Bernice; 33 grandchildren, 55 great great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; brother: Roy Hutto and wife Christine of Parsons, TN and sister Lucille Chambers of West Monroe. Pallbearers will be Tommy Ates, James Shirley, Rusty Garner, Jay Smith, Jonathan Ates, Robert Primm, Brandon Cummings and Alan Ates. Honorary Pallbearers will be the remaining grandsons and great grandsons. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, April 13, 2012 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
