A celebration gathering for George Clayton Books will be from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., Monday, February 12, 2018 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.

George was born December 24, 1952 in Bastrop, LA and passed away February 9, 2018 in West Monroe, LA. He was employed for over 30 years with D & J Construction as a shop foreman. George was an avid fisherman and could tinker with anything with a motor and most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandbabies. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Books; brother, Ricky Books; parents, Jack C. and Mildred Pace Books.

George is survived by his wife of 32 years, Paula Books; children, Katy Books and Zachary Books and wife Tiffany; two grandchildren, Jase and Harper Books; sister, Stacy Books; nephew and nieces, Nick Books, Candace Books, Jessica Chappell, Alexis Tressler; several adopted sons and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family requests all flower donations and memorials be made to the giver’s choice.
