Funeral services for Hannah Durkes, 28, of West Monroe, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 29, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Rev. Bruce McCoy and Rev. Tom Lowe will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Calhoun, Louisiana. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Hannah was born on July 17, 1994 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on December 23, 2022 in West Monroe. She was a member of Christ Church. Hannah loved all things outdoors, hunting, fishing, and sky diving. She jumped out of an airplane and that was one thing marked off of her bucket list. She had NSLS honors and attended nursing school at Delta Community College and ULM Nursing School. Hannah’s family and baby were everything to her. Hannah enjoyed life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, J.M. Hite; grandmother, Norma Lynn Sterling; and grandfather, Edward Daniel Durkes.
Hannah is survived by her son, Braylin Jase Durkes; mother, Angela Kaye Durkes; father, Edward Troy Durkes; grandmother, Marie Ann Bearden; grandfather, John W. Bearden, Jr.; uncle, John Stephen Bearden; great-grandmother, Marie Hite; other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brantley Booth, Glen Everette George, David Herrington, Zach Bridges, Phillip Ables, and Colby Rice.
