Hilton Russell, Jr. of Monroe, LA was born on June 4, 1937 in Tallulah, LA and passed away on February 22, 2018 in Monroe, LA. He served in the U. S. Army in the Corps of Engineers. He earned his pharmacy degree from NLU Pharmacy School. He worked as a pharmacist for over 20 years. During his pharmacy career he created (DOSE), a computer program company to dispense medicine and traveled the world installing his system. After his pharmacy career he had a second career in building and remodeling homes. He will be remembered as being very intelligent and always having an answer for every question. Mr. Russell had a passion for gardening and visiting with his neighbors, family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilton Russell, Sr. and Eulalia Thompson Russell; 2 sisters, Eleanor Russell Williamson and Betty Russell Bowden.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Folds Russell; his sons, Hilton Craig Russell (Christina Irene), Dr. Robert Carleton Russell (Laurie Ann), Byron Christopher Russell (Lisa Anne); and Adam Scott Russell; brother, Horace Russell; sister, Carol Jean Russell; granddaughter, Britni Danielle Russell; grandson, Robert Brandon Russell; granddaughter, Elizabeth Catherine Russell; grandson, Ethan Craig Russell; granddaughter, Maia Helen Russell and grandson, Ryan Joseph Russell; and numerous nieces and nephews.A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children Home.
