Funeral/Graveside services for Inita Walker of Monroe, LA, will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, 3:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Cemetery Highway 159 – Eudora, AR with Brother Jarrod Hawthorne and Mike Tryon officiating. Visitation will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Lamy Lane in Monroe, LA on February 8, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.Mrs. Walker was a Christian and a member of Swartz First Baptist Church.Mimi, as she was known to her grandchildren & great- grandchild; and Sissy, as she was known to her nieces and nephews, was born on April 28, 1928 in Idabel, Ok and passed away on February 6, 2018, in Monroe, LA.Ms. Inita is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Arnold Walker. Their marriage was such a wonderful example and inspiration to all of their family. She is also preceded in death by her son, Johnny Marc Walker; her parents, Henry R. Cook & Lillie Watson Cook; her brother, William B. (Bill) Cook and wife Carol; her sister, Edna Ruth Cook Reynolds and husband Ralph; a daughter-in-law, Susan Walker; her mother-in-law, whom she cared for and loved very much; Lottie (Woo Woo) Walker; a brother-in-law, Thomas Walker; a niece, Teresa Walker; sisters-In-law, Reginia Walker Posey & Lucille Walker Tillotson; a nephew, Sonny Tillotson.Survivors include her daughter, Nita Gay Walker Hewson and husband Greg; grandson, Zachary Cook Walker and wife Lora; grandson, Jacob Walker Hewson; great granddaughter, Lola Suzanne Walker; daughter-in-law, Barbara Walker; several nieces and nephews that were each very special to her. Even until the very end, she remembered each one of them on Christmas and their birthdays with cards and gifts.A special Thank You is extended to her caregiver, great niece, and friend, Ursula Tryon Mercer, and also her niece Patsy Reynolds Tryon.Also, the family would like to thank the staff members of Stat Home Health Care, St. Joseph Hospice Care, and Always Best Care Senior Services for the love, care, and respect that they have shown to Ms. Inita. The family would also like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Gregory Green, Dr. Kerry Anders, and Dr. Mark Napoli for her health care in the past years.
