Bro. Williams was born February 14, 1934 to the late Jeff and Artonia Wright Williams. He was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church in Ruston, LA, where he joined at an early age. He later joined St. Mary Baptist Church of Ruston, LA, where he remained a loyal and faithful member until his health failed.Bro. Williams married Elnora Austin Hill where six children were born and he helped raise two step sons.He was a faithful employee for the City of Ruston for 10 plus years where he retired. He also worked for the Fowler Mudd Company, Highline Electrical Company, and had his own lawn mower service for years in the community. He also was the neighborhood taxi service.He was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Austin Williams; his parents, Jeff and Arthonia Wright Williams; daughter, Annie Williams Burton; grandchildren: Mario Lynn and Marcroni Austin; sisters: Georgia Mae Williams, Margie Williams-Kiper, Ruthie May Williams Kidd, Sena Williams-Goree, Lena Williams-Mackey, and Annie Williams; and his twin brother, J. B. Williams.Bro. Williams leaves to cherish his precious memories two sisters, Dorothy Curry of Crockett, TX and Louise Williams of Dallas, TX; step-sons: Rev. Joseph Austin and John Hill of Ruston, LA; daughters: Jean (Bobby) Pruitt, Joyce Venzant, Irene (Willie) Lynn of Ruston, LA, and Fannie Williams of Atlanta, GA; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.Pallbearers will be Kenneth Westly, Christopher D. Perry, Louis Nicholson, Willie Lynn, Bruce Wright, and Michael Austin. Honorary pallbearers will be Deyonta Venzant, Joseph Austin, Jr., Patrick Pruitt, Clifford Lynn, Jonathan Burton, and Kevin Floyd.The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for your love, kindness, and prayers during this time of great sadness.
