Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.James Darren Goode, age 49, of Hazelhurst, MS, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016.Darren is survived by his daughter, Amanda Gail Goode, his parents Nelda Bailey Rutland and Donald Raye Goode and many aunts, an uncle and numerous cousins.Darren never failed to keep a smile on the faces of those around him. His great sense of humor and huge heart combined to create a wonderful man who was loved by many. Darren spent many years being an owner operator and traveling across the United States. When Darren wasnt working, he enjoyed watching football, NASCAR, and basketball. Other than being an avid sports fan, Darren always enjoyed playing Texas Holdem whether that be at the casino or with a group of friends and family. Darren devoted many of his weekends to his daughter and watching her play softball for many years. On September 11th, the world lost a beautiful soul but his memories shall last with his loved ones. Reliability, loyalty, and love were all traits Darren showed to each person in his life and he shall be remembered by those words.Pallbearers will be Mark Bailey, Richard Shane Bailey, David Shane Bailey, Anthony Wayne Bailey and Robert Lawrence.Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
