Jerryce was born July 15, 1944 in DeRidder, LA and passed away March 3, 2021 in West Monroe. Jerryce enjoyed many activities including traveling with Jim, her husband of almost 55 years. They enjoyed many trips together and with friends, including a Caribbean cruise, a trip to Hawaii, and especially their two trips to Alaska. They also enjoyed their trip to Colorado and many trips to Branson, Missouri by themselves and with friends and family. Jerryce worked for almost 30 years as a migrant tutor and a teacher’s aide with the Ouachita Parish School system. She and Jim have been season ticket holders for West Monroe High School football since 1978. She loved bringing her bells to the games and ringing them as loudly as she could. (Legend even says she brought the first cowbell to Rebel Stadium.) Jerryce and Jim also loved to host their New Year’s Eve gumbo party for almost 15 years. Jerryce was a faithful and devoted member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church for over 35 years and was a member of the Hand Bell Choir. Her church family always knew her as a loving and caring person. Jerryce was also a proud member of the Byrd High School lunch bunch. She loved all her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter deeply and loved nothing more than spending time with them and watching all their sporting events and enjoying anything in which they participated. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelley Womack and Mildred Whiddon Womack.
Jerryce is survived by her husband James (Jim) D. Brasher, Jr.; sons, Chris Brasher (Melinda) , Dusty Brasher (Amanda), Kevin Brasher (Kendra); grandchildren, Cale Brasher, Kelsey Brasher, Austin Brasher, Cole Brasher, Cooper Brasher and Colton Brasher; great-granddaughter, Hazelyn Brasher; sister Sandra Stuart and husband Winston; brother-in-law, Ronnie Brasher and wife Mat; several nieces and nephews.
