Joe was born February 7, 1929 in Ruston, LA and passed away November 20, 2019 in West Monroe. He was a retired welder and was a member of Plumber and Steam Fitters Local #141. Joe loved to hunt and garden and was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Murray; sons, Terry Murray, Michael Slavant; daughter, Paula Slavant Marchand.

Joe is survived by his son, Dana Murray; granddaughter, Ericka Willis and husband Joe; great-grandchildren, BreAnn Nolan, Caden Willis and Mason Willis; great-great-grandchild, Elijah Hendry.
