First...I cannot believe she was 10 years older than me!! She was such a youthful, joyful, ball of energy and zest! Often when we are in a hurry in a store we side-step others...not so with Karen! I loved seeing her in the grocery store. We both talked so fast we could catch up in just a few bubbly minutes. She would give me an update on Jenny and Katy and I would fill her in on my life! I am praying for the family today as she is celebrated and for the days ahead in the journey to find a family "new normal" She loved you!

We all grew up together across the street from each other in Mt. Pleasant. Whenever I hear the word "neighbor" even to this day I always think of the Kennedys first. I was shocked and heartbroken to hear of Karen's passing. One of my favorite memories I have is that because of her (and their broken TV), we all got to see the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan show at our home. I will never forget you Karen--you were one of the brightest lights in the neighborhood.

Recalling young lives growing up through Mt Pleasant homes/families reassured that every tomorrow would always be better. Keren found that early and showed others that path...always...especially now. My heart thanks and condolences to family and care-givers. Randy Holcomb
