Lamar was a very good friend to me. He was an effective member of the Board of Directors of Louisiana Bank where i was privileged to serve as President and CEO. He told me on several occasions that his board service helped him significantly in running his own business. He was quite the gentleman. Unfortunately, i am out of town and unable to attend visitation or funeral.
