Funeral services for Margaret “Margie” E. McDaniel, 94, of Downsville, LA will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday October 10, 2022 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Chip Pannell and Rev. Bennie Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-West Monroe.
Margie was born October 1, 1928 and went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter S. and Annie M. Simmons; husband, Charles M. McDaniel; daughter, Glendora McDaniel; grandson, Douglas McDaniel; son-in-law, John F. Simmons. Margie was a life- long member of Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church. She was retired after 21 years of service as cafeteria manager from Monroe City Schools Child Nutrition.
Margie is survived by her son, Orland McDaniel and wife Dot; daughter, Jan Simmons; granddaughter. Monik S. Robert and husband Eric; grandson, Mike McDaniel and wife Lacie; 4 great- grandsons and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brett McDaniel, Cole McDaniel, Skylar McDaniel, Joe Turner, Josh Turner and Donald Davis.
Honorary pallbearers John H. Cox, Richard Tedeton and Donald Jordan.
