Mary Alice Storey, 92, of Kingwood, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L. Storey, Jr; brother: John Elliot Morren; and sister: Margaret Loper. She is survived by her son: Herman Storey and wife Carolyn; daughter: Mary Spiritosanto and husbnd Jim; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother: Edward Morren and wife Jan; sister: Katherine Nix and husband Jack and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Satureday, August 18, 2012 at Alabama Presbyterian Church in Sibley. Officating the service willbe Dr. George Wortham and Rev. Bill Willis. Interment will follow at Sibley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to service time 11:00 AM at the church on Saturday. I am so sorry I was not able to attend Mrs. Storey's funeral. She was our neighbor on Sherwood Dr, WM for several years. She was so sweet and so good to my kids as they were growing up. She was a wonderful Christian example for us all.

Thank Heavens for sweet, Christian folks like Edgar and Mary Alice Storey. I will never forget fun times visiting the different pastorates where Mr. Storey served and having fun with Mary. Mr. Storey was vivacious and fun-loving I can see him now with that pipe in his hand and Mrs. Storey was quiet with an ever-present, sweet smile and soft chuckle. I was very saddened to hear of Mrs Storey's death. She, as well as her whole family were such a great, Christian influence on me and my family as I was growing up. My deepest sympathies go out to Herman and Mary and their families.
