Memorial services honoring the memory of Mary Ann Henderson Hatten, 84, will be conducted by Reverend Dub Hatten and Steve Powell in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 2. Visitation will precede the service from 9 until 11.Mary Ann was born July 24, 1933, in Monroe, Louisiana, and died at Glenwood Regional Medical Center on December 29 following a brief illness. She retired as a payroll clerk and timekeeper at the paper mill after over 30 years.She had a deep love for animals and a kindness towards them that was evident to all people she shared her life with. Mary Ann adored her children and grandchildren, and always made sure they never did without anything she could provide. She loved cooking and feeding her family, and did it with great pride and intent to please. She was a devoted wife and mother and tried endlessly to please and create comfort. Mary Ann loved Jesus and her spirit was filled with His love.Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bert Hatten, and daughters Beth Hinton, Cathy Hatten, and Jill Maxwell; son in law Todd Maxwell. She leaves three grandchildren, Olivia Greer, Maddi Maxwell, and Ian Maxwell.Memorial donations should be sent to Hasley Cemetery Perpetual Maintenance Trust Fund, our local animal shelter, St. Jude, Louisiana Baptist Children Home or other favorite charity.
