A Celebration of Life for Mary Elizabeth (Mimi) Mabry, age 61, of Ruston will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Officiating her services will be Dr. Reggie Bridges, Mrs. Jo K Long Quinn, and Mrs. Kathy Brabham Nelson. A private graveside service for family will follow at Kilpatrick Memorial Gardens in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 5 7 P.M. at Kilpatrick in Ruston. She graduated from Ruston High School in 1976, attended Louisiana Tech University where she was active in the Baptist Student Union, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mimi was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Mabry Rainwater, parents William (Bill) and Betty Price Mabry, grandparents George and Carrie Sterling Mabry and William Travis (Bunk) and Cassie Dring Price.She is survived by her sister Martha Mabry Stinson (husband Tom), brothers Charles Richard (Rusty) Mabry (wife Danna), David Alan Mabry (wife Joni), brother-in-law Larry Rainwater, nieces and nephews: Greg Rainwater (wife Cassidy), Cassie Stinson Harwell (husband Gary), Stacy Rainwater Miller (husband Brian), Andy Stinson (wife Gentri), Riley Mabry (wife Jessica), Dan Mabry, Brenner Mabry, and Ryne Mabry. Great nieces and nephews: Morgan, Evelyn, Peyton, Callie Jean, Josh, Gray, Andrew, and Hardy; Uncle Billy Jack Price; nanny for ten wonderful children, and cousins, friends and families she has baby sat for too many to list.Mimi was a graduate of The National Academy of Nannies, Denver, Colorado with perfect attendance and straight A grades. Families Mimi assisted as a Professional Nannie include Mark and Kelly Elliott, and their children Tyler, Nicole, Caley, and Spencer of Littleton, Colorado from July, 1994 to June, 1997; Russ and Gail Petty, and their children Sean, Walker, and Spencer Marie of Memphis, Tennessee from July, 1997 to May, 2002; Laurent and Anne Claire Bossard, and their children Nicholas and Sebastian of New Rochelle, New York from June, 2002 to June, 2014; Matt and Ileana Blair and their son, Wyatt of Pensacola, Florida from October, 2015 to November, 2018.The family would like to extend special thanks to the great Shreveport cousins, Donna Ann Mabry and Terri Lu Hensley, along with Paula Claire Halle and their parents, Don and Evadeil Mabry, Alexandria, LA. Your visits, treats, advice, prayers, and love have meant so much.The family is grateful to the staff of Ruston Nursing and Rehabilitation and to Premier Hospice for their care and attention over the final days of Mimi life. The staff and membership of Temple Baptist Church have been so wonderful since Mimi returned to Ruston in December.
