Funeral services for Mary Jane Byars Hollis, 73, of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 AM on November 5, 2019 at Ruston Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Simsboro, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on November 4, 2019 at Ruston Church of Christ. Mary Jane passed away on November 2, 2019, after a brief illness.Mary Jane was born on August 8, 1946 to William Woodrow and Virginia Dring Byars. She graduated from Ruston High School in 1964, and married Robert Wayne Hollis in 1970. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, and loved her many friends who attended the churches in both Minden and Ruston.She spent many years as a homemaker, and raised four children. She touched many more lives while working for the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and for Goodwill Industries in Ruston.She spent her later years reuniting with old friends and relatives, and supporting the Benevolence Ministry at the Ruston Church of Christ.She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Debbie Hollis (Alan Dyson), Diana Sanders (Ricky), Doug Hollis (Jennifer), and David Hollis (Ashley). She had eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.Pallbearers will be Thomas Sanders, Ricky Sanders, Alan Dyson, Ray Mathewes, Fred Sanders, and Jimmy Hanna.
