She went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 10, 2018.Hunni was raised in Pistol Thicket with her aunts, uncles and cousins until she was seven. Her family then moved to Delhi, LA, where she met and married her high school sweetheart. After graduating high school, they traveled the world with three kids, Thomas, the cat and a multitude of dogs. Every country traveled to was experienced to the fullest. If there was a sight to see, Hunni and her three kids were there! In 1977, the family moved back to West Monroe, LA and she lived here until her final going home. Throughout Hunni life she worked hard to provide for her family. Any job she held usually led to a position as a supervisor or a manager. Her work ethic was phenomenal. She taught her three children the importance of giving your best in whatever you do.As she transitioned to a grandmother, she embraced the role and poured into her grandkids. They made brownies, dirts and worms and any other dessert you could imagine. Hunni house was always the cool place to be, especially Christmas and summer breaks. For someone who hated cooking, she was good at it! Her brownies and fudge were famous at church, at her kids work and in her neighborhood. Christmas time was special for all as the waistlines spread.Hunni was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Harrell, father John Joseph Davis and mother, Irene Bernice Pace Lewis. She is survived by her sons, Richard Harrell, wife Yevette, Mike Harrell, wife Eun and daughter Wendy Bailes, husband Jay; grandchildren Jacob Harrell, wife Elise, Tyler Harrell, Madison, Sabrina Harrell, husband Keith, Mary Rose Harrell and Taylor Nicole Bailes; her great- grandchildren are James Asa Harrell, Magdelene Jo Harrell, Gabriel Madison Harrell, and Emily Ruth Harrell; sister Linda Baskind and numerous much-loved nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Pick-It-Forward for Orphans (http://www.pickitforward.com ) or REACH building program at McClendon Baptist Church, 206 Downing Pines Road, West Monroe, LA 71292.The family would like to express their gratitude to Compassus Hospice and staff as they helped mom in these final days.
