Graveside funeral and interment services for Mrs. Mavis Day 77 of West Monroe are at 10:00AM on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Calhoun, LA with Rev. Johnny Holyfield officiating. Services are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. Day was born November 16, 1934 in Conehatta, MS to the late Green Floyd and Gertrude Price Colquette. She passed away September 16, 2012 in West Monroe. A member of Faith Christian Church, she was a retired administrative assistant for GMAC and a Ouachita Parish School Board food service worker. Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and her brother. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Day McCarty, Pamela Diane Day, and Lisa Day McManus and husband, David; grandchildren, Joshua and Shelby McCarty, Matthew, Haley, and Caleb McManus; great grandson, Jonah McCarty; brothers, Jerrell, Colburn, and Karon Colquette; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation is Wednesday from 5:00pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
