Funeral services for Minnie Ella Hinkie Westbrook will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 15th, 2019 at Lakeshore Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. with Brother William Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bastrop, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.Minnie Ella was born August 5, 1931 in Dubach, LA and went to heaven August 11, 2019 in Monroe, LA. Minnie worked at Ouachita Parish Public Library. She was a homemaker, a charter member of Lakeshore Baptist Church, and came to know the Lord at a young age and sharing her faith with others is something she did throughout her life. She loved working in the garden, singing, and most importantly, spending time with her family.Be strong and of good courage for the Lord our God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lewis Westbrook; her father, Rev. Joseph E. Hinkie; and mother, Mamie R. Hinkie; and seven brothers and sisters.Minnie is survived by her children, Deborah M. Westbrook Haber, Denise W. Gullatt and her husband Steven C. Gullatt, Laura W. Marchbank and her husband Johnnie Marchbank; one sister, Marie Hinkie Jones of Bossier City, LA; two sister in laws, Opal Hinkie of Ruston, LA and Christine Westbrook of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Donald Haber, Kevin Gullatt, Joe Gullatt, Sam Gullatt, Sarah Marchbank Wallace, and Blake Marchbank; great grandchildren, Molli Gullatt, Owen Gullatt, and Carter Gullatt.Pallbearers will be Donald Haber, Kevin Gullatt, Joe Gullatt, Sam Gullatt, Blake Marchbank, and Drew Wallace.In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to St. Jude Hospital, Louisiana Baptist Children Home, Lakeshore Baptist Church, or The Ouachita Council on Aging.Funeral services will be livestreamed from Lakeshore Baptist Church go to Youtube at mylakeshorechurch at 10:30 AM.Online memorials may be made to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com
