Funeral services for Shirley “O’Neal” Shivers, 88, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe. Brother Gerald Lewis will officiate and interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe on Wednesday.

O’Neal was born on October 30, 1933 in Winnsboro and passed away at home on August 12, 2022 in Monroe. Some of his favorite pastimes were gardening, hunting, fishing, cooking and yard work. O’Neal liked taking care of his chickens and farm animals but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Shivers; son, Tommy D. Shivers; parents, Tommy Shivers and Elmer Howard Shivers; sisters, Helen Thompson and Patsy Shivers; brothers, Elmer D. Shivers, Leon Shivers, Billy Shivers, and Decille Shivers Deason.

O’Neal is survived by his children, Francis Williams and husband Dennis, Joann Brown and husband Frankie, Shirley Rolen, Bill Shivers, Wanda Reeves and husband Randy, John Shivers, Robert Shivers, Terry Shivers; twenty three grandchildren; fifty six great-grandchildren; brother, Wade Shivers and wife Gesila; brother – law, Russell Thompson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other cherished family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Deiter, Gary Deiter, Jerry Deiter, Larry Allen Ludlow, Danny Ludlow, Luke Williams, Josh Shivers, David Shivers, and Cody Shivers.
