OLGA LEE WILSON EDWARDS REPPOND
NOVEMBER 13, 1924 – FEBRUARY 5, 2019

Olga Lee Wilson Edwards Reppond led an interesting, challenging, and blessed life. Loved by family, friends, co-workers and church family, she steadfastly lived for her Savior and worshipped Him faithfully. She has now received her ultimate reward for a life well lived. You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
Olga Lee was born November 13, 1924, in Carlsbad, Texas. She grew up in Haile, Louisiana, lived most of her adult life in Linville, Louisiana, and passed away at the age of 94 on February 5, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Haile. She was predeceased by her husbands J.C. “Duck” Edwards (in 1979) and Nelson Reppond (in 2010), daughter Monica Craig, parents E.D. and Lula Wilson, and siblings Marie Parker and Rev. G.D. “Jabby” Wilson.
Cherishing her memory are her devoted daughter and son-in-law Marcia and Gary Harrell; grandchildren Bridget Fulton (Trey), Jeremy Harrell (Shelly), Kirsty Summerhill (Stephen), and Tyler Craig; great grandchildren Macy Fulton, Isabella Fulton, Allie Harrell and Avery Summerhill. Other family members include son-in-law Mitch Craig, step-children David (Elaine) Reppond and Karen (Ray) Camp, and step-grandchildren Stephanie Bevins, Chris Reppond, Kevin Reppond, Kelly Weatherford, Kim Sims and their families, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Olga Lee was an excellent student and graduated with honors from Linville High School in 1941 (at age 17) and Louisiana Tech University in 1944 (at age 20). She also did post-graduate work in Gerontology at NLU (now ULM). Her early career included stints as a County Agent in Franklin Parish, school teacher in Union Parish and Grand Isle, and as a dietician at St. Francis Medical Center. She retired from ULM in 1990 as a Registered Dietician and manager, after over 20 years of service to the university.
She enjoyed traveling, photography, reading, and quiet philanthropy. Her life was her legacy and a testimony to her love of Christ. She was devoted to her earthly family and her church family at Liberty Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for sixty years, until the age of 90. She instilled in her family the responsibility of helping others.
All services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Linville. Visitation is Thursday, February 7 from 5 until 8, and funeral Friday, February 8 at 2 pm. Rev. Randy Ray will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Lee Brantley, Virgil Brantley, Charlie McGraw, Bob Lane, Hal Parker, Lanny Parker, Jim Reynolds and Pete Reynolds.
