Interment will follow at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Dubach, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Patsy was born September 11, 1937 in Choudrant, LA and passed away September 19, 2017 in Vidalia, LA. She was a member of Buford Hwy. Baptist Church, Doraville, GA., and a retired Bookkeeper.Patsy is survived by daughters, Kathy Taylor and Billie Jean Edge; sister, Ella Mae Pope; grandsons, Jeremy Edge and Justin Cole and wife Nicki; granddaughters, Rebecca Harmon and husband Mike, Karla McCarty and husband Justin; great-granddaughters; Sela Naff McCarty, Hazel Paceq-Edge, and June Paceq-Edge; great-grandsons, Austin McCarty, Drake Cole, Luke Cole, and Jackson McCarty; daughter by love, Pat Swillie.Visitation will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Pat couldn't pronounce my last name, so she just called me "Shultzie". She opened her home to me as a young teen and influenced the person I have become. I never forgot the story of her dream of being a nurse. And remember her going to school for OR Technician, while having teenagers in school, in order to follow her heart. Those memories of her tenacity helped me make it through nursing school.
